Charcoal burner and bamboo craftsman.

Born in Kochi Prefecture in 1978

In 2001, he set up a charcoal kiln in the former Kagami Village in Kochi Prefecture. In addition to making charcoal, he began making daily necessities using bamboo. The simple and warm bamboo crafts are all smoked in a charcoal kiln, giving them a unique color.

Working hard to make precious bamboo products, hoping to rediscover the supple, strong, and profound charm of bamboo.

Born in Nara Prefecture in 1948. Member of the mountaineering club during school days.
1970: Traveled to the United States to study filmmaking techniques
1974: Visited Tanegashima and encountered Nanban Yakishime
1974: Established a kiln in Amano, Katsuragi-cho, Wakayama Prefecture
Since then, he has visited kilns both in Japan and abroad to learn about earthenware and ceramics.
1991: Summited the Nepalese Himalayas
2010: Built a kiln on Ishigaki Island
He currently makes pottery in Amano, Katsuragi-cho, Wakayama Prefecture.
Numerous exhibitions both at Japan and abroad
